Besan chilla is atuffed with delicious potato stuffing. This version requires minimal oil too so it is appropriate for the people who avoid deep frying.
STEP 2.In a mixing bowl add boiled potatoes. Add salt, 1 tsp turmeric powder, red chilli powder, ginger garlic chilli paste, rock salt, dhaniya jeera powder and coriander leaves and mix well.
STEP 3.In another mixing bowl add besan. Add carrom seeds, 1 tsp turmeric powder, salt to taste and mix well. Add required quantity of water and prepare thin batter like pakora batter consistency.
STEP 4.On a hot oil spread ladle full of batter. It should be thick layer. Let it get cooked from bottom.
STEP 5.Once it is cooked from bottom, flip it. Now spread potato stuffing over it using your hand. Press it gently. Spread another layer of besan over it and turnover.
STEP 6.Let it get cooked. Cooking process on slow heat. Apply little oil while cooking the chilla.
STEP 7.Once it is cooked by both the sides, remove from tawa. Repeat the process for another batch.
STEP 8.Serve with green chutney and tomato sauce.
