In a city where artisanal desserts, designer bakeries, and gourmet gifting have become a serious business, House of Ikai has landed at the perfect time with its flagship store in Mumbai. And there still exists a category of food institution that entirely exists because of its reputation.

Without the flashy billboards, sponsored reels, or marginal discounts amid the festive season, the Ahmedabad-based premium mithai label has reportedly been creating customised hampers for the Ambani and Advani families. After building a reputation in Gujarat for turning traditional mithai into polished luxury products, their landcrafted laddoos, dry fruit katlis, and designer mithai boxes, House of Ikaiis is now open in Bandra. Here’s everything you need to know about the viral sweet shop that everyone is raving about.

Why House of Ikai Was Already Famous Before Mumbai Knew Its Name

Founded by Dr Harmitsingh Sikh, House of Ikai had built a reputation in Gujarat before landing in Mumbai. Over the past month, the luxury brand has been one of the most talked-about sweet and namkeen stores across Instagram reels, food bloggers, and gourmet gifting pages. But even before the Bandra store, the Ahmedabad-based startup got its buzz after it was reported to cater to the Ambanis and Advanis.

As per reports, House of Ikai had supplied over 50,000 post-wedding sweet hampers for the wedding celebrations of Jeet Adani and Diva Shah. With artisanal sweets like Hafus Mango Katli, Badam Strawberry Bite, Ghee Roasted Ladoo, Badam Caramel Ladoo, and Kesar Dry Fruit Barfi, the luxury hampers made headlines earlier this year.

Beyond Mithai: What Can You Expect At House Of Ikai, Bandra

House of Ikai in Bandra is not just a place where you just enter, buy mithai, and leave. Described as India’s first luxury sweet and savoury studio, the space is conceived as an experience-driven house of edible luxury. From making your own mithai at their DIY laddoo counter to chaats from across the country, the store reportedly has five interactive zones to draw the guests’ attention to the Indian craft of sweet-making.

Offering more than forty types of namkeen, the reports also suggest that you can not only watch laddoos being made in front of you, but also customise them as per your preference. Without changing the essence of traditional mithai, House of Ikai elevates the sweets. Another standout point is their list of ingredients. Reportedly, by sticking to A2 ghee and olive oil and replacing refined sugar with jaggery, dates, and coconut sugar, the brand has also attracted conscious diners who love sweets but refuse to have the lingering guilt.

If you’re visiting the luxury sweet shop, some of the indulgences you shouldn’t skip include their in-house namkeen, regional street snacks, and mithai like Pishori Mamra, Hafus Mango Barfi, and of course, a laddoo made with your favourite ingredients.
