I have always loved Karela, but since none of my friends were big fans, I also had to put a face. I look back and feel absolutely miserable about it. Being a fussy eater, I would rarely like a vegetable, and finally when my mother figured that I sort like bitter gourd, I would constantly pester her to not pack the same for school. It was confusing outside, but at home, I would have everything from crispy karele fritters , to bharwa karela to shukto. This bitter buddy of mine has been a huge part of my growing up, and here we have tried to curate a list of recipes that may help make you, Karela haters, see the vegetable in a whole new light.
