This Easy Vegetable Puff Is The Perfect Snack For Tea-Time

And all we need then is a platter of some crispy snacks to pair the tea with. Any kind of snack, crispy, baked, healthy, or just some munchies can complete our chai time. However, cooking snacks at that time may seem to be quite a task, after all, no one wants to stand for long in the kitchen making stuffings for samosas or kachoris. This is why most of us simply resort to those classic namkeens and biscuits. These yummy vegetable puffs are just what you need to pair your shaam ki chai with, and can be a great snack to serve to guests as well. Not only is it super delicious but it is versatile too and so you can make it nutritional by stuffing in more vegetables besides spices and herbs. Our recipe for vegetale puff is a simple one that comes packed with classic Indian flavours, as well as the goodness of onions, potato, carrots, beans and peas. Flaky from the outside and mushy from the inside, you can pair this puff with a dip or a spicy chutney for more flavour. 

How To Make Vegetable Puff 

First slice and cook the onion in a saucepan until golden brown, add ginger garlic, salt, turmeric, and chilli powder, and saute well. Now add in the veggies including potatoes, beans, carrot and peas and cook until tender. Once done, let the mix rest. Meanwhile, preheat the oven and unwrap the pastry sheets, cut it and spoon the mixture along the line of the pastry sheet. Fold and vrush the oastry sheet with oil and eggyolk, and bake it for 12-15 minutes, or until the puff pastry has fluffed up nicely and is golden brown.
