Monday is gone, and this week, after all, Valentine's Day celebrations, I want to stay at home. But as it's Tuesday, aka my vegetarian day. So, why not make it unforgettable with some restaurant-like homemade treats. While eating out, my foremost preference is Chinese cuisine, as its irresistible and tangy savours are drool-worthy. What could be better than easy and quick manchurian recipes? So, let's make our Tuesdays better with this devouring Chinese dish.
Gobi Manchurian
Ingredients:
- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
- Red chilli sauce - 2 teaspoon
- Tomato ketchup - 2 tsp
- Soy sauce - 2 teaspoon
- Corn flour - 2 teaspoon
- Capsicum - 1 chopped
- Flour - 3 teaspoons
- Onion - 1 chopped
- Vinegar - 2 tsp
- Oil for frying
- Salt to taste
- Cabbage - 1
- Onion - 1
Method:
- First, clean the cabbage thoroughly, cut it and put it in a vessel
- Add all-purpose flour, cornflour, ginger-garlic paste, salt, water, and mix well; add the cabbage pieces to it
- Now, put oil in the pan and fry the cabbage well on medium flame
- After this, heat oil, add ginger-garlic paste, green chilli, finely chopped capsicum, onion and fry them well in a pan
- Put vinegar, all the sauces and fry cabbage in it
Veg Manchurian
Ingredients:
- Capsicum - 1 finely chopped
- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tsp
- Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Cabbage - 1 cup grated
- Tomato ketchup - 2 tsp
- Red chilli sauce - 2 tsp
- Onion - 1 chopped
- Salt - as per taste
- Soy sauce - 2 tsp
- Corn flour - 3 tsp
- Flour - 1/2 cup
- Oil - 2 tsp
Method:
- First, put all-purpose flour, cornflour, salt, chilli powder, grated cabbage and water in a vessel and mix well.
- Heat oil and fry the mixed cabbage in a pan.
- Then, heat oil in another pan, add chopped onion, ginger-garlic paste, capsicum, salt, and fry it.
- After a while, add all the sauces and cook the masala.
- Now, put the fried cabbage in this and after cooking it for about five to seven minutes, turn off the stove.
Paneer Manchurian
Ingredients:
- Salt - according to taste
- Paneer - 250 grams
- Cornflour - 3 tsp
- Flour - 2 tsp
- Oil - 2 cups
Ingredients for the gravy:
- Capsicum - 1/2 removed
- Green chilli - 2 chopped
- Ginger paste - 1/2 tsp
- Tomato sauce - 2 tsp
- Garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
- Onion - 1/2 chopped
- Chilli sauce - 1/2 tsp
Method:
- First, put all-purpose flour, cornflour, ginger-garlic paste and salt in a vessel and mix well.
- Now, put the shredded paneer in this mixture and keep it aside for 10 to 20 minutes.
- Heat oil and fry the marinated paneer in a pan
- Heat oil in another pan, add ginger-garlic paste, green chilli, onion, capsicum and cook for some time.
- Then, add tomato sauce, soy sauce, chilli sauce, salt and mix well
- After cooking for a few minutes, add the fried paneer and turn off the gas
- Paneer manchurian is ready to serve
