The latest season of Koffee With Karan (KWK) gave us all sorts of juicy gossip from B-Town. Be it the foodie secrets of Janhvi Kapoor and Ananya Panday or the egg and coffee diet of Vijay Deverakonda, KWK, hosted by Karan Johar, lived up to the hype of revealing secret guilty pleasures quite aptly. But what actually remained a secret until the end of the season was what exactly lay inside the coveted hamper.
For the unversed, the show has a popular rapid-fire round, where Karan asks some quirky questions to the celebrity guests and those who answer the questions and express themselves uninhibitedly are often the ones to take the hamper home. Needless to say, the rapid fire round between the guests gets quite competitive and fun in order to win the #KoffeeHamper.
But apart from those who win the hamper, nobody was quite sure of what the hamper really consists of until today when Karan himself revealed all about it in a video he shared on social media. While the hamper has always been worth a hefty amount and featured some really expensive items, Karan has gone a step ahead this time and added some more luxurious items to it.
In the video, shared by the production house, Dharma, Karan sat down to unpack the box and reveal each item. “We behave like the Koffee With Karan hamper is the most coveted award to ever win on planet Earth. Of course, we take ourselves very seriously, but we are also deluded in our belief that it does matter. But I do believe that it does to some of them who come on the couch", he said in the video. The filmmaker added that the box is designed by his friend Dipti Goenka and her team.
Karan then went on to reveal each item one-by-one, showing it all to the camera. Besides luxurious jewellery pieces and extravagant electronic devices - including speakers, phone, and a specially-designed Audi Espresso Mobil - the hamper included premium tea from an Indian brand along with tea pot.
The #KoffeeHamper also had some premium chocolates from Neuhaus with different combinations. It also had Bombay Sweet Shop’s coffee chocolate butterscotch box, besides a box of gourmet Indian sweets and a box of eggless biscuits from 28 Baker Street.
Of course, it also had the iconic KWK mug and more goodies that Karan refused to show to the camera. This included a mobile phone and some perfumes with a bottle of champagne. Isn’t that quite a hefty hamper? Well, no wonder one of the biggest celebrities have fought over it ever since the show started in the year 2000. Take a look at the video:
This year was KWK’s seventh season and the list of celebrities included Kareena Kapoor Khan, Aamir Khan, Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani, Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Sara Ali Khan, Siddharth Malhotra, Akshay Kumar, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Sonam Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Vijay Deverakonda, and many others.
