Most vegetables are stored to be used at any time; however, storing green vegetables varies. Simultaneously, cauliflower is available in the winter season, and it is cultivated in September and October. Cauliflower can also be stored like peas, coriander, etc., and can be used for cooking even after months. Do you want to store cauliflower? You can try the following methods and use them when needed. This will retain the cauliflower flavour and not spoil it for several days.

  1. First step: First of all, take a fresh cauliflower, cut its flower into a small size and keep it side by side. Along with this, remove the back part; if you want to store it too, then you can keep it separately.
  2. Second step: After cutting the cauliflower into a size, take water in a vessel and mix half a teaspoon of salt according to the cauliflower. Mix this water well and put the whole cauliflower in it. Dip the cauliflower in water and keep it for about 15 minutes. By doing this, the insects present in the cauliflower will quickly come up. Just make sure that the cauliflower is well immersed in water.
  3. Third step: Remove the cauliflower from the salt water and wash it with normal water after 15 minutes. Now put water on the gas and leave it to heat up; when it starts boiling, put the cauliflower in it. Let the cauliflower cook in the water for a minute or two. On the other hand, keep ice water in a vessel. After two minutes, please switch off the gas and filter the cauliflower with the help of a spoon and transfer it directly to ice water.
  4. Fourth step: After this, please leave it cool for about 6 to 7 minutes. When it cools down, filter it well in another vessel. While straining the cauliflower, drain out the water completely. Now leave the cauliflower in the sieve for about two minutes so that the remaining water comes out.
  5. Fifth step: After two minutes, wrap the cauliflower with tissue paper or a clean cotton cloth to dry it if you feel that there is still water. Then, transfer it to a zip lock bag and keep it in the refrigerator. Since it has been boiled in water, it won't require much cooking. In this way, cauliflower can be stored for a long time.

Keep these things in mind

To store, cut the cauliflower with clean hands and pack it in a loose seal zip lock bag. Once kept in a zip lock bag, do not open it again and again. Take out the cauliflower only when you want to make vegetables.
