Pride Month parties are fun, but also a reminder of what people across the community have experienced and continue to be sidelined. But when you are with people who love you, understand you, and create a safe space for you, there is nothing better than celebrating with them with a few crunchy snacks and vibrant drinks.

This article is about adding colours to your snacks to align them with the Pride flag. With a couple of colourful ingredients and maybe a few drops of safe food colour, you can create a rainbow spread that will bring people together and closer. Below are some ideas that you will not only enjoy relishing but also making.
Veggie Cups With Hummus
For an instant burst of colour that will be retained throughout the party, this snack is the easiest to present. Cut veggies of different colours, including carrots, purple cabbage, bell peppers, cucumber, and cherry tomatoes. Serve these with chickpea hummus, which you can also create in different colours using safe food colours. These can be arranged on a platter and enjoyed with cocktails.
Rainbow Rice Paper Rolls
Take the vegetables mentioned above and chop them finely. Saute these separately with butter, garlic, salt, pepper, and chilli flakes. Dip a rice paper in water and arrange vegetables in the order of colours in a rainbow. Seal them and toast the rolls on a hot griddle greased with oil or butter. Enjoy these with garlic chilli sauce, ketchup, and soy sauce.
Rainbow Cupcakes
Making cupcakes for a large number of people is easier than making a large cake. You can make these in the flavour of your choice - chocolate, vanilla, orange, strawberry, etc. Once your cupcakes are in the oven for baking, prepare colourful frosting using synthetic but safe colours. Add all of them to a piping bag and start decorating. You can also add sprinkles, make vibrant flowers, or simply add a few colourful dots on the top.
Mini Salad Bites
You cannot make every dish colourful, but a salad is already vibrant. Add fresh greens, yellow bell pepper or corn, purple cabbage, red cherry tomatoes, orange carrots, and white feta cheese. You can also add a bright cherry hue with pomegranate seeds. Toss everything along with a simple yet lip-smacking dressing and serve. A large plate of salad will be the centre of attraction on the table.
Confetti Pinwheel Wraps
Confetti pinwheel wraps are easy to experiment with and make a perfect partner to boozy drinks and fresh fruit beverages. Knead a soft dough with atta or maida. You can add food colour to make the crust vibrant. Spread cream cheese, layer the vegetables, roll it, and slice it into thin pinwheels. Secure each with a toothpick and bake them or roast them on a hot griddle. Enjoy it with ketchup or raw mango chutney.
Devilled Eggs
Immerse boiled eggs into colourful liquids - beetroot juice, turmeric juice, spinach juice, purple cabbage juice, and more. Once the eggs are coloured, top them with a blend made from egg yolk, cream cheese, mustard sauce, mayonnaise, and paprika. Serve them on a white plate for a flush of colour that will grab all the eyeballs in the room.
