Marsala Stuffed Mushrooms Recipe

Cooking Directions

• STEP 1.Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
• STEP 2.Remove the stems from the mushrooms and finely chop them.
• STEP 3.In a bowl, combine the chopped mushroom stems, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic, Marsala wine, and salt and pepper to taste.
• STEP 4.Spoon the filling into the mushroom caps, pressing it down gently.
• STEP 5.Place the stuffed mushrooms on the prepared baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
• STEP 6.Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the filling is golden and crispy.
• STEP 7.Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
• STEP 8.Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired, and serve warm.

Cooking Tips

• Choose large mushrooms with firm caps for easier stuffing.
• If you don't have Marsala wine, you can substitute with dry white wine or chicken broth.
• For a vegetarian version, omit the Parmesan cheese or use a vegan alternative.
