• 1 bay leaf
• 0.5 teaspoon dried thyme
• 1 ounce dry sherry
• 1 ounce Cognac or brandy
• 2 ounce white wine
• 9 cup Beef Broth
• As required kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
• 6 slices toasted Italian bread , or gluten free bread
• 6 slices reduced fat Swiss, or your favorite cheese
