Beer is one of the most popular alcoholic beverages around the world. Be it to mark a special occasion, to enjoy a game or simply to catch up with friends, beer is often the preferred drink. While there are different types of beer - lager, ale, porter, and stout among others - everybody wants their pint or glass to be the perfect. This is why brewing beer is known to be an art that very few can master. India has been slowly and steadily brewing the beer culture. Like in a few other major cities in the country, you’ll spot plenty of microbreweries coming up across Delhi NCR too, rapidly bringing in a beer revolution in the Capital.

BrewDog is the latest addition to Delhi-NCR's nightlife and restaurant scene. It’s a well-known Scottish craft beer brewery, with more than 110 outlets around the world. The brewery and pub chain has entered India with three outlets, the first one being set up in Delhi-NCR. With it, the brand is looking to redefine the beer culture in the city, with some scrumptious food to go with it.

The new outlet is located in the sprawling space in One Horizon Centre, Gurugram, which is already known for many popular eateries. Giving an industrial vibe with high ceiling and brick walls, BrewDog makes for a perfect place for conversations and drinks with friends.

The menu isn’t very elaborate, but thoughtfully curated with options that are perfect to fill you up, and pair well with the brews. One can choose a hummus platter or jalapeno poppers, which comes with assorted cheeses stuffed inside in-house brined jalapeños. There are butter garlic prawns too besides miso chicken, kung pao chicken, and loaded nachos. Even though the beer is the hero of the place, we were surprised to see how food had us hooked too. The truffle fries topped with garlic butter, truffle oil, and parmesan cheese topped the game for us along with our share of beer.

The drinks are sure to spoil you. There are over 24 craft beers from their signature list - including Punk IPA, Hazy Jane, Lost Lager, Dead Pony Club and more. The flavours of beer also caught our attention. But if these are not enough to please you, you can choose from a range of interesting cocktails that are there on the menu. The beers pair well with everything on the food menu - from burgers and pizzas to even the Asian fare. We tried the delicious pepperoni pizza that came loaded with oodles of cheese.

So, the next time you are done with the standard branded beers in the market, head to this outlet for a unique beer experience with good food. Until then, you can try some of their best cocktail recipes.
