Ingredients

  • 1 kg Prawn
  • 3 nos Onion
  • 2 nos Green chilli
  • 3 sprigs curry leaves
  • 2 nos Tomatoes
  • 1 cup Grated coconut
  • 1 medium Ginger
  • 5 nos Garlic
  • One hand-full Coriander leaf
  • 2 tbsp Red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp Garam masala
  • 1 tbsp Cumin seed powder
  • ½ tbsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp Coriander powder
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 or 2 tsp Salt

Method

  1. In a bowl, combine the shredded coconut, and water, and then thoroughly stir with your hands.
  2. Drain and save the coconut milk that is more solid.
  3. We add water to the bowl of squeezed coconut once more and repeat the procedure until we get thin coconut milk.
  4. The ginger and garlic must then be crushed and placed aside.
  5. An onion slice is diced, and oil is heated in the pan.
  6. Sauté thoroughly after adding crushed ginger, garlic, green chillies, and curry leaves.
  7. After that, salt and chopped tomatoes must be added, and the tomatoes must be cooked until soft.
  8. For two to three minutes, add a mixture of curry powders, including red chilli powder, garam masala, cumin seed powder, turmeric powder, and coriander powder.
  9. Add the cleaned and fresh prawns, then thoroughly combine.
  10. Next, add a thin mixture of coconut milk, cover, and thoroughly simmer.
  11. Once again, thick coconut milk and a few coriander leaves must be added before cooking for a little time.
  12. Take out of the fire and place aside. Serve the delicious prawn curry and savour it.
