Papad or popaddam, the crispy, crunchy, fried accompaniment with a meal is best enjoyed with some dal and rice. Often eaten roasted or fried, papad is made with flours of lentils, chickpeas, sabudana, rice, tapioca, potato or prawns. Papad is also known to help in improving digestion, which makes them the best lunch, dinner or any meal companion.
