While some of these attempts have been successful and loved by dosa fans, others lead to sheer disappointment. Speaking of the latest, the video of a 'Mexican Dosa' has gone viral on the internet, leaving netizens highly disappointed.
Shared on Instagram by food blogger @deliciousdelhiites, we can see a dosa stuffed with an onion and capsicum filling, along with a carrot (julienned). Yes, that is all this ‘Mexican Dosa’ offered. "Me after ordering Mexican Dosa", read the caption of the reel. It seems like the blogger herself didn't approve of the dosa, as she played the "bhool toh ho gayi" bit from the retro track Bangle Ke Peeche in the background. Take a look at the video here:
The video has garnered over 4.5 million views, 124K likes and thousands of comments ever since it was uploaded. Netizens have strongly disapproved of the dosa, as several comments read that there’s nothing Mexican about the dosa. One user wrote, "Iss se acha salad kha lo", while another user commented, "Please stop doing injustice to dosa like this".
Some people had hilarious reactions to the video as a user wrote, "I am not a South Indian yet I feel offended". Another user said, "Vegetable sandwich ka bacha hua masala dosa mei daal ke bech deta hoon, kisiko kya hi pata chalega".
