Try Ragi Onion Rotis For An Easy, Nutritious Breakfast

If you’re looking for a breakfast that will help you boost your immunity, stay fit, healthy and also taste great, this Ragi Onion Roti will do the trick. A simple combination of ragi flour, veggies and nothing more, it’s quick and easy enough to make on a lazy Sunday morning.

If you still need more reasons to love this ragi replacement for your regular breakfast parathas, you should know that every 100 grams of Ragi provide 334 grams of calcium making it one of the best non-dairy sources of the mineral. It also provides huge amounts of protein and carbohydrates which are perfect to fuel you up. With amino acids that enrich your hair and skin plus healthy fibres to nourish your gut, you’ll end up feeling good inside and out.

If this seems a little too simple for you, you can also stir-fry some finely chopped veggies and fold them into the dough for more flavour. You can also amp up the roti with spices like cumin, coriander powder or turmeric, but if you’re a purist, this simple comfort food will be right up your alley.

Ragi tends to create rotis that are more dry and dense than those made with wheat flour, so they can be eaten alone with some curd or you could even use them as a replacement for regular rotis at dinnertime. It’s a smart and easy way to add a little bit more health to your daily life.
