Top 50 Bars of 2025: Delhi Leads As India’s Bar Scene Evolves

The nightlife map of India is witnessing a remarkable reshuffle, and the top 50 Bars of 2025 are embracing this vibrant transformation in their full spirit. For the first time, Delhi has surpassed Mumbai, claiming 11 spots to Mumbai’s 10, which marks a potential shift in India’s bar capital record. The wider NCR region, mainly Delhi and Gurgaon, further reinforces its power, extending from 12 bars in 2024 to an amazing 15 this year, showing the growing creation and experimentation in mixology.  The ranking of the top 30 bars in the country will be revealed at the annual award ceremony on January 12, 2026, in Goa.

In the same line, Bangalore continues to rise with 7 bars, from 6 last year, firming its importance as India’s emerging cocktail hub. Goa, which has been touted as the modern cocktail destination, meanwhile, has 9 bars on the list as compared to 11 in 2024, whereas Kolkata has 4, Jaipur has 2, Pune has 1, and Shillong has 1, keeping its unique regional identity. Not only this, five hotel bars have maintained their ground, demonstrating that luxury hospitality continues to shape the growing bar scene of India.

Why Has Delhi Overtaken Mumbai In Bar Culture

The rise of Delhi over Mumbai in the 2025 bar rankings represents its fast-changing cocktail culture, driven by creativity, cooperation, and experimentation. The bars of the capital are mixing global strategies with local flavours, delivering experiences that feel both refined and connected. A growing community of dynamic bars, satisfying customers, and a strong restaurant system has helped Delhi and the wider NCR region emerge as a new bar powerhouse. It's an untapped market that's raring to be explored.

Vikram Achanta, Co-Founder, 30 Best Bars India, says, “The mix of returning favourites and new faces shows just how strong India’s bar community has become. Guests are loyal but curious; they will keep coming back to places that stay consistent and keep things exciting, even as they explore what’s new.”  Here's a full rundown of the top 50 bars in the running.
