These Chocolate Cocktail Recipes Are Perfect For House Party

What could be better than a glass of cocktail or a bowl of chocolate dessert? A dessert cocktail! Combining sweet treats with drinks isn’t a new idea, and has been experimented well by many mixologists and chefs too. After all, it's hard to resist the sweet taste of a delicious chocolate cocktail. But how well it is done is the debate. From boozy milkshakes to sweet martinis, many drinks feature chocolate-flavored alcohol. A lot of them use crème de cacao as it was the original chocolate-flavored liquor in bars. Crème de cacao is a type of chocolate liqueur that has about 25 percent alcohol by volume, and is flavored with cacao beans. It's available in white and dark varieties that taste the same but deeply affect a cocktail's color. Nowadays you'll even find a few recipes for chocolate vodka. The end result, nevertheless, is a tempting, balanced play of ingredients, which is just perfect for a dessert, anytime you want to indulge in a decadent drink. 

But it’s time you move on from chocolate liqueur or vodka, as we bring you some chocolate cocktail recipes with whisky, straight from the bar of Glenfiddich. These cocktails are decadent, boozy yet balanced, and has a delightful play of ingredients such as cream, espresso, caramel syrup, chocolate sauce and more. 

1. Speyside Tiramisu

The fruit-forward notes of the whisky, combined with the aromas of the coffee, ends in a celebratory cocktail, with orange oils, tinge of cinnamon spice and the sweetness of caramel/honey to it round up. 

Ingredients: 

60ml whisky 12-year-old  

15ml chocolate Sauce  

15ml single cream  

15ml Espresso shot  

10 ml caramel syrup/ honey/ maple syrup  

Orange peel/ cinnamon 

Method: 

. In a shaker glass filled with ice, pour all the above ingredients and shake well 

. Strain and serve straight up in a coupe/ martini/ margarita glass 

. Garnish with orange peel/ cinnamon, and your Speyside Tiramisu is ready to serve

2. IRISH COFFEE 

Ingredients: 

Fresh Cream 

Drambuie Liquor

Whisky 12 YO 

Espresso Shot 

Sugar/Honey 

Chocolate Stick/crunchy (Garnish) 

Chocolate Sauce n Biscuits (Rim) 

Method: 

For Drambuie Cream: 

. Whip 30 ml Drambuie and fresh cream together and keep it aside 

. Now for the cocktail, take a glass and cover the rim with chocolate sauce and crushed biscuits 

. Add 60 ml whisky, sugar and espresso shot to the glass and stir well 

. Add the Drambuie cream over for the float 

. Garnish the cocktail with chocolate stick and enjoy
