The fair, one of the biggest in India for livestock, features celebrations, information exchanges, and sales of camels, horses, and cattle. It draws thousands of visitors worldwide and is hosted on the shores of Pushkar lake. While you get mesmerised looking at the splash of colours during this fair, don't forget to treat your taste buds with the iconic dishes of this Rajasthani city. Since it is famous as a temple town, the food scene is primarily vegetarian. Among all, its street food can leave you salivating.
Dal bati churma
Dal Bati tastes great when paired with a sweet treat known as Churma in the region. Pushkar locals relish this popular Rajasthani dish dal bati churma. You can't resist it when it's served with dal and deep-fried in ghee. To sample the tastiest dal baati churma, locals advise going to the Aroma Hotel and the Shree Karni Maa Restaurant.
