Surprisingly, The mozzarella sticks we like today were first served in American sports bars and bowling alleys in the late 1970s. This developed as a result of the hunt for a novel fast food item that made use of the deep frier, and it came after the proliferation of pizza places around the United States in the 1960s. Mozzarella sticks were quick to make and could be fried in the tiny kitchens often found in pubs or bowling alleys thanks to the simplicity of use of newly prevalent deep fryer machines. Because of their popular flavour and texture combination, long-lasting resilience in a warming tray, and affordability, mozzarella soon established itself as a main ingredient in American fast food.
