With time, we came across so many kitchen appliances that have made our lives much easier and one of these helpful appliances is mixer grinder. Be it making chutneys, milkshakes, grinding spices or crushing ingredients, it is the first thing that we look forward to. It can crush, grind and mix the ingredients like magic but once it's done, we get yet another responsibility to clean it. Sometimes we just rinse it with soap and water and complain that the odour is still there. Because cleaning is not happening.

Baking Powder 

Baking powder is one such magical ingredient that can clean almost every kitchen appliance. To clean the mixer grinder, mix 2 tbsp of baking powder and little water to form a thick paste. Using a brush, apply the paste on the outer and inner surface of the jar and leave for 20 mins.  Rinse and see the results. 

Citric Acid 


Citric acid has the potential to eliminate any kind of stain. So, to clean the mixer grinder, you must take out your lemons from the kitchen and cut them into halves. Then, run the lemon slices in the jar and when done, rinse through clean water. This will provide a refreshing smell and will remove the stains. And if stains are still there, just take lime peels and scrub them over the stains. Try it and see yourself. 

Vinegar 

Be it a dark or stubborn stain, vinegar can clean everything like magic. Just like you used baking soda, you have to use vinegar and it will clean your mixer grinder from inside out. Just take an empty spray bottle or handwash bottle and add lukewarm water. Add 2 tbsp vinegar and spray it to the jar. When done, clean with dry cloth.  

Liquid Detergent 


I know it sounds basic, but you have to use it the right way to get the desired results. You need not scrub it but just pour some detergent into the jar and run it for a few seconds. Rinse with water and you are good to go. If stains are still there, scrub the detergent on the stains using a clean cloth and rinse.    

Alcohol And Water 

No No, you don’t have to drink it but using it to clean your mixer grinder. Just take a bowl of add and add some alcohol (any) to it. Put the mixture and let it stay for some time. Then, give it a swirl and rinse. Believe me, your jar will be smell-free and will shine and sparkle like a brand new one. After you take out the alcohol mixture, keep the jar open for some time so that the alcohol smell gets out. For the outer body, take some mixture into a cloth and scrub the body.
