Ranbir Kapoor is celebrating his 40th birthday today (September 28), and wishes are pouring in from family, friends, and fans for the Brahmāstra star. The actor hosted a small party at home on the eve of his birthday, which was attended by close family members and friends. The guest list included Neetu Kapoor, Karan Johar, Ayan Mukerji, Shaheen Bhatt, as well as Akash and Shloka Ambani.

The actor, who isn’t on social media, is known to be a private person and so we could not get a glance of all the fun that went on at the party. But thanks to Malaika Arora, we did catch a glimpse of Ranbir’s special birthday cake. The diva took to Instagram to share a snap of the birthday boy blowing the candles, but he wasn’t alone. Ranbir shares his birthday with aunt, Rima Jain, and it seems like the two decided to celebrate it together. So, the duo was seen blowing the candles on the cake, together. Adorable, isn’t it? Take a look:

The cake seemed to be a simple chocolate truffle one with chocolate flakes on it, placed on a cake stand. "Happy birthday dear Rima and Ranbir", Malaika captioned the picture. Ranbir is known to be a foodie, just like most of the Kapoor family members, and proof of it was seen while he was promoting his film Brahmāstra. While in Chennai, we spotted him chomping on an elaborate South Indian thali served on a banana leaf. He was joined by Nagarjuna and director SS Rajamouli. Read more about it here. Not just that, Ranbir is known to be a huge fan of chicken curry, and he once also revealed that he grew up on the paya soup from his grandmother’s kitchen and he still loves it.

The birthday boy has earned rave reviews for his latest film, and is riding high both professionally as well as personally. While Brahmāstra continues to earn numbers at the box office, Ranbir is all set to embrace fatherhood, as he is expecting his first child with wife Alia Bhatt, with whom he tied the knot in April 2022.
