Ragi millet, rich in dietary fibres, has been highly recommended by nutritionists and culinary champions to be one of the best sources of nutrition. It is said that the consumption of ragi on a regular basis reduces the risk of diabetes and lowers blood pressure, along with being a source rich in calcium. Summers are all about staying hydrated and feeling light; a state of being that most Indian beverages provide. Adding ragi to the usual summer drinks amplifies the cooling effects of the beverage along with being a good source of vitamin C. Having a glass or two of these ragi-based beverages also promotes the growth of healthy hair as well as maintain glowing skin.
