Mouni Roy who recently tied the knot with businessman Suraj Nambiar, took off to Sri Lanka recently for work, and ended up having a mini workation of sorts. For the uninitiated, ‘workation’ is a combination of the words ‘work’ and ‘vacation’. It refers to a work-related trip outside of your city, where you also end up doing some touristy activities. Given Mouni Roy is such a foodie, a self-confessed one at that, we weren’t surprised to spot all the delicious foods that she had in Sri Lanka, in the photo dump she posted on Instagram.

Television actress Mouni Roy, who would also be seen in the upcoming sci-fi film ‘Brahmastra’ along with Ranbir Kapoor and Mouni Roy, went to Colombo, Sri Lanka with a couple of her friends and team members like designer Anuradha Khurana. In her photo dump, we see a radiant Mouni chilling by the ocean side. Then there were pictures from a cosy dinner too. Mouni, chose to go for an Italian fare. She posted pictures of a cheese and mushroom pizza, flanked by a plate of spaghetti aglio olio. In her Instagram story, she also posted a picture featuring some fresh bruschetta topped with veggies, cherry tomatoes, olives, parsley and lettuce.

Didn’t that make you drool a little? While you may not be so lucky to have such fun workation, you can certainly cook yourself a feast to remember. Here are some recipes you should certainly try today, if all the aforementioned items make you drool just a little bit.

Cheese Pizza

With fresh mozzarella cheese, sauce and veggies, you can make the pizzas of your dreams and you know that very well. So what is stopping you? Pizza is inarguably one of the easiest things to make at home, just add any toppings of your choice, from peppers, mushrooms to meat and you are good to go.

Spaghetti Aglio Olio

Spaghetti aglio olio literally means ‘spaghetti with garlic and oil’, if you are not so much of a fan of the cheese sauce or the tangy tomato sauce for that matter, but want your pasta to have a delightful ‘kick’, this easy-peasy recipe is what you want.

Bruschetta

This is a list of easiest recipes it seems and yet again, we have an appetiser that can be put together in a matter of minutes. Pane di casa breads topped with fresh garlic, finely chopped tomatoes, red onions, extra virgin olive oil and long red chilli. Slurrping much?

Which of these recipes will you try today.
