Koli-Style Fish Curry: A Maharashtrian Seafood Gem

Method:

  • Clean the fish and cut it into medium-sized pieces.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add chopped onions. Saute until the onions turn translucent.
  • Add ginger-garlic paste and slit green chillies. Saute for a minute.
  • Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft and mushy.
  • Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for a minute.
  • Add water and bring the gravy to a boil.
  • Add the fish pieces to the gravy and let it cook for 10-12 minutes or until the fish is cooked through.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice or bhakri.
