There is one thing that we can eat any time of the day be it breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and that too in any form we want. You might have guessed what we are talking about. Eggs! There is a specific egg dish for everyone. Some love to have an omelette while some prefer boiled eggs. But there is a common misconception that eggs could only be used in continental cooking. Some do agree that eggs can be made into two Indian cooking dishes which are egg curry and masala omelette. But that is not true. There are so many desi dishes that you can make with eggs.   • Egg Bhurji

Now when we talk about desi Egg dishes, we cannot just afford missing Egg bhurji. This simple yet delicious egg dish can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, and in dinner as well. Many people may confuse egg bhurji with scrambled eggs but both are not the same. Egg bhurji originates from Indian and is not mixed with milk or cream. They are added last minute in the pan, unlike scrambled eggs.

  • Egg Bonda

If you love both eggs and pakora, this is the right dish for you. Egg bonda or egg pakora is a fried version of your regular egg dishes and is loved very much for its texture and of course taste. Also known as egg bajji, this dish is very common street food in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

  • Egg Chat

This is something new right? Egg chat is just a chat or you can say dahi vada without a vada but an egg. You just need to replace your desi vadas or bhallas with boiled eggs with added ingredients like curd, chutneys, sev, etc. This is a dish you should try once in your life. 

  • Deemar Pataudi

Famous in West Bengal, deemar pataudi is a healthy made with steamed eggs. These steamed eggs are coated in spices and wrapped in a banana leaf. This is a much healthier version of an egg dish and is mostly served with rice.

  •  Egg Keema

This egg dish is just like any keema you have. These are boiled eggs grated and cooked into several vegetables and spices. This dish is so delicious that one cannot stop eating it. It can be served with chapati and pao. 

  • Nargisi Kofta

This dish does not only sound royal but it tastes royal too. Nargisi Kofta is made with boiled eggs coated with keema and several spices and then cooked in a gravy. You can discard the gravy if you want and serve the keema eggs as a snack as well.

  •  Kerala Egg Roast

If you have been to Kerala even once, you must know what we are talking about. These are sliced boiled eggs that are first shallow fried and then cooked into a simple tomato and onion masala. This dish, when seasoned with mustard seeds and curry leaves, can satisfy your soul. 

  •  Egg Dosa

You must have had several dosas but this one would be something worth trying. This is just a simple dosa with cracked on it. This is a common street food you could find in the Southern part of India and is best served with chili chutney on the side.
