Kid's Delight; How To Make Watermelon Jelly At Home

Nowadays different kinds of candies and jellies are available in the market. They come in different flavours and textures. Kids adore jelly. There are several mouthwatering jellies available, and the majority of them are fruit-based. Fruit bases jellies are a perfect way to introduce fruits to your kids. Watermelon Jelly is one such fruit jelly recipe that will be a hit with your kids. This delectable recipe is a pleasure for your taste buds because it has the goodness of watermelon, gelatin, sugar, and lemon juice. Watermelon is a great hydrator and it keeps the body cool during the scorching summer. What's better than homemade fruit jellies devoid of preservatives and other chemicals? Here's how you can make delectable watermelon jelly-

Ingredients

1. 8 cups watermelon

2. 1 cup sugar

3. 4 tbsp lemon juice

4. 3 cups water

5. 4 tbsp gelatin

6. 1 tsp mint leaves

Method

Chopping Watermelon

Cut watermelon on a cutting board after washing. Take a pan with a wide base, and add some fresh water and gelatin. Wait until the gelatin has completely dissolved in the water and allow the mixture to rest.

Step 2: Dissolving the gelatin

Add some warm water to the gelatin mixture and stir until all of the gelatin has been dissolved. Stir the liquid while adding the sugar until the sugar has completely dissolved. When finished, strain the mixture.

Step 3: Cool down

Make a puree out of the chopped watermelon using a mixer jar, then add the puree to the gelatin mixture. Mix well. Put this mixture in a serving bowl and chill it overnight or until the desired jelly consistency is achieved.

Step 4: Serve

Garnish the jelly with some mint leaves and serve chilled to your kids.

Tips

1. Make sure you stir the mixture properly preventing any lumps to form.

2. You can also blend in some mint leaves with watermelon to give an enhanced minty flavour.

3. You can add more fruits to the watermelon mixture as per your preference.
