How To Clean Your OTG, Step-By-Step Guide

Let’s admit it, there are a few kitchen equipment that have become such an integral part of our lives that our day comes to a halt if even one of them is out of order. An OTG oven is one such essential kitchen appliance for many. The multifunctional oven is equipped for grilling, baking, or roasting, making it ideal for families that are always on-the-go. Just place whatever you have to place inside, shut the door, set the timer and sit back. If only everything else was taken care of just as easily. Did you know most OTG ovens breakdown before time because they aren’t cleaned properly from time to time? The dust, oil and food particles that settle on the door and the interiors of the OTG may lead to earlier damage and also become a potential hazard to your house.

To keep that from happening, it is always advisable to invest in a good OTG like Glen’s Oven Toaster Grill (OTG)-33 L. With digital display and 11 pre-set recipes of toast, bagel, pizza, roti, cookies, broiled chicken etc, this 1500 Power-black convection oven is a real steal. Other impressive features include removable crumbs tray, Rotisserie and convection fan, oven tray and wire rack

The hassle-free OTG oven is also pretty easy to clean and maintain, just follow along these steps.

1. Start with the most essential step. Make sure your power is off and the plug is removed to avoid risk of a short circuit. Then remove all the removable parts starting from racks and trays.

2. Take a tub and fill it with hot water and soap powder. Submerge all the parts in the tub, and let them rest there for half an hour. Do not touch or rinse, just let them soak in the soap water.

3. In the meanwhile, start cleaning the walls and interiors of the oven. Make a mixture of one part vinegar and one part hot water and clean the interiors with a soft towel soaked with the mixture. Clean it well. Let it dry. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe it dry.

4. Now go back to the racks and trays, if there are some hard stains left, then clean them with a mixture of 1 Tbsp of baking soda and 1.5 Tbsp of water. Apply it on the stains, scrub it clean. Let it dry completely, and use a soft dry cloth if required.

5. The glass exterior of OTG can be cleaned with mild detergent and damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners that could scratch the surface.

Place the racks and trays in their respective places and bake away in your spotless oven.
