4 Things To Make In OTG Besides Cake

Kitchen appliances can make our everyday work a lot easier. And what works as a cherry on the cake are the appliances or gadgets that can serve multiple purposes. One such multitasking kitchen appliance is OTG. The Glen 5033 Digital OTG comes in a classy metallic black finish and is a multi-function appliance, capable of doing all types of cooking except stove cooking. Comes with thermostat to control temperature and 120 min timer with hold facility, it comes with a digital display and 11 pre-set menus. Isn't it amazing? So, it's time to bust your misconceptions and see some interesting ways in which you can use your Glen OTG.

Roast Vegetables

You may not know but the best way to cook vegetables is to roast them. This not only makes them delicious but also helps in retaining many of their nutritional values. All you have to do is place chopped vegetables on a baking sheet and drizzle them with a little oil. You can sprinkle some spices of your choice and roast them in your OTG for 7 to 8 minutes or until cooked at 220 degree Celsius. Amazing, isn’t it?

Handy Tips:

One should cut vegetables into small and bite size pieces.

Vegetables should be spread evenly on the sheet pan so that they don't overlap.

Kebabs

Why have abs when you can have Kebabs?? Well, you can make this heavenly delight in your OTG that too without any hustle-bustle. For veg kebabs, you can make combine all the veggies, spices, and flour in a bowl and flatten them using small balls. For the non-veg kebabs, you can use minced meat. Place these flattened balls on a greased tray and grill them for 18 to 20 mins at preheated OTG. Believe me, these kebabs are going to be super moist and tender.  Click here to buy Glen’s OTG.

Handy Tip:

Grease the pan properly before placing the kebabs for a better texture.

Roast Chicken

You can make roast chicken beautifully in an OTG. Take a chicken and marinate the same. Take the rotisserie skewer and insert the same in the chicken. Fix it the forks provided on both sides. Now tie the legs with metal wire so that these don’t interfere in the rotation. Also metal wire will help to cook the chicken better. Now place the skewer in the slot and switch on the rotisserie. Preheat the oven at 240 degrees Celsius. Based on the size the chicken will take around 30 minutes. You will get a succulent golden-brown chicken for a comforting dinner and that too hands free.

Handy Tips:

A metal wire helps in penetrating the heat inside the chicken to give better taste.

Granola

You can make granola in OTG very easily and get rid of your breakfast woes. All you need to do is mix together dried fruits, oats, nuts, seeds, a little salt, honey, or maple syrup. Spread the mixture on a tray and bake it 200 degrees Celsius for 15 to 20 minutes or until they get crunchy.

Handy Tips:

Keep an eye on it so that it doesn’t burn.

Keep stirring it every 6 to 7 minutes to let it cook evenly.
