Recipe for Chicken Broth
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of chicken pieces
- 1 cup of carrots
- 1 cup of onions
- Water to boil
- Salt to taste
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon rosemary
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon black peppercorns
Method:
- In a wok, combine all of the ingredients with water. Bring the water to a boil, then reduce the heat to a low setting.
- Simmer for 1-2 hours, uncovered, skimming foam as needed.
- Set aside the chicken until it is cool enough.
- Remove the meat from the bones, then remove the bones and save the meat for later use.
- Strain the liquid, remove the vegetables and seasonings, and serve the broth hot.
