Recipe for Chicken Broth


  • 2 cups of chicken pieces
  • 1 cup of carrots
  • 1 cup of onions
  • Water to boil
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon black peppercorns


  • In a wok, combine all of the ingredients with water. Bring the water to a boil, then reduce the heat to a low setting.
  • Simmer for 1-2 hours, uncovered, skimming foam as needed.
  • Set aside the chicken until it is cool enough.
  • Remove the meat from the bones, then remove the bones and save the meat for later use.
  • Strain the liquid, remove the vegetables and seasonings, and serve the broth hot.
