Have Leftover Garlic Bread? Make These Recipes

Apart from complementing our spaghetti, pastas and soups, garlic bread tastes amazing on its own as well. The crispy and fluffy bread, when combined with the rich flavour of garlic, gives an incredible taste that will definitely tantalize your taste buds. Garlic bread is basically a loaf of bread that has been topped with a mixture of garlic, butter and herbs such as parsley or oregano before being toasted until crispy and golden brown. 

This simple yet delicious side dish is also served along with salads and grilled meats. It can be customized according to different tastes and preferences, such as by adding cheese, tomatoes, or other toppings. It is also available with many yummy stuffings that will make you crave for more. But what to do when you have some slices of garlic bread left from the previous meal? Were you thinking of throwing them away? Don't!

Here are four yummy recipes you can create with your leftover garlic breads: 

Garlic Bread Sandwich  


  • 2 garlic breads  
  • 1 oz cheese, sliced 
  • 1/2 tomatoes, sliced 
  • 1/4 avocado 
  • 1 oz lettuce 
  • 1 tsp mayonnaise 
  • 1 tsp garlic olive oil 
  • 1/2 tsp garlic parsley salt


  • Sprinkle the slices with garlic salt and olive oil. Then spread mayonnaise on it. 
  • Place a layer of cheese, tomatoes, avocado, and lettuce.  
  • Now place the other piece on top (crispy side up) and serve!

Garlic Bread Pizza 


  • 3 frozen garlic toast 
  • Pizza sauce as needed 
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese as required 
  • Pizza toppings of your choice  


  • Top the garlic toast with pizza sauce, cheese, and the pizza toppings of your choice. 
  • Place the baking sheet of garlic toast pizzas in the oven and broil for 2-4 minutes, just until the cheese is melted and beginning to brown. 
  • Serve hot and enjoy. 

Garlic Bread Bruschetta 


  • 2 garlic breads 
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped 
  • A few basil leaves 
  • 5 tbsp of olive oil 
  • 4 portobello mushrooms, sliced 
  • 1 garlic clove, grated 
  • 1 red chilli  
  • 1 tbsp butter 
  • Salt and pepper, to taste


  • Take the bread and sprinkle some olive oil on it. Roast in the oven for 5 minutes. 

For mushroom and garlic topping: 

  • In a pan put butter, oil, garlic, thyme and stir. 
  • Add mushrooms, chopped chillies and toss. 
  • Add salt, pepper and cook well.

For tomato and basil topping 

  • In a bowl add chopped tomatoes, chopped basil, salt, pepper, olive oil and mix well  
  • Place the bread on a tray and pile up the toppings on it and serve. 

Garlic Bread Pie 


  • 8 garlic breads 
  • 8 ounces cream cheese with tomato and basil 
  • 4 ounces shredded cheese 
  • 15 ounce tomatoes 
  • Butter, salt, pepper as required


  • Cook add tomatoes with a little oil. 
  • Spread generous amounts of cream cheese on four slices of bread. 
  • Line bottom of 8-inch square baking pan with bread covered in cream cheese. 
  • Cover with half of the bread cheese. 
  • Butter the remaining bread and lay it on top. 
  • Cover with cheese. 
  • Bake 30-45 minutes until bubbly and cheese is melted. 
  • Add salt and pepper to taste.
