Miss Universe 2021 Harnaaz Kaur Sandhu made India proud with her winning the title, and has been in the news ever since. After all, she brought the ‘Miss Universe’ crown home 21 years after actor Lara Dutta won it. Recently, Harnaaz visited actor and Miss World 2000 Priyanka Chopra's New York restaurant, Sona, and also shared her experience on social media. Taking to her Instagram stories, Harnaaz posted a photo, which gave us a glimpse of the menu at PeeCee’s restaurant. Harnaaz also seems to have enjoyed a beverage as a glass stood next to the menu on the table.
"Cheers to amazing menu, staff and location (red heart emoji)", Harnaaz wrote alongside a picture, and also tagged the restaurant and its co-owner Maneesh M Goyal. Taking to their Instagram stories, a fan account shared a picture of Harnaaz posing with one of the chefs of the restaurant as well.
In the menu of Sona, we could spot shakarkandi ki chaat, Sindhi aloo tikki, ghee roast chicken wings, gunpowder gobhi, shrimp koliwada, and more. The menu seems to have been designed keeping in mind the regional cuisines from across Indian states. Be it the north Indian chaats, the spicy Konkan and Maharashtrian cuisine, or the south Indian delicacies.
Harnaaz, who is in New York to attend the New York Fashion Week (NYFW) 2022, has always expressed her admiration for Priyanka. In fact, even when she won the title of Miss Diva 2021, she had said, "I love Priyanka Chopra. So whatever lessons I can learn from her are nevertheless. So I will always choose Priyanka.” When she won the Miss Universe 2021 crown, Priyanka congratulated her on Instagram. The actor shared a clip of the moment when the host announced Harnaaz's name and wrote a note for her. “And the new Miss Universe is.. Miss India”, she said, adding, “Congratulations @harnaazsandhu_03 (for) bringing the crown home after 21 years”.
Sona is Priyanka’s debut in the hospitality sector and has been gaining rave reviews and popularity ever since its launch. Many Bollywood bigwigs and popular Hollywood personalities have visited the Indian eatery in New York. From Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal, Farhan Akhtar and Anupam Kher to Mindy Kaling, Sophie Turner and Kal Penn, stars have been raining on Sona ever since the high-end restaurant launched in March 2021.
