Half boiled egg maggi is one delicious version of Maggi. With so many other recipes experimented, the one with egg shows the versatility of Maggi. And with Maggi as the main ingredient, one is always willing to try new things attached to it. The taste of the classic Maggi is only enhanced with the rich and savoury half boiled egg. In fact, the centre yellow part is so tempting and tastes pleasant. An easy, quick-to-do recipe, a saviour of the hostel residents or ones living far from home, this is a perfect weekend dinner meal.

Origin

Half boiled eggs are cooked in a shell for half of the time than a completely cooked egg, which may range from five to seven minutes. They have tender white and runny yolk, which often tastes better than completely boiled eggs.

Half boiled egg Maggi has this twist of adding the half cooked tender white with slightly runny yolk in the centre that imparts a unique flavour to the dish.

Method of Preparation for Half Boiled Egg Maggi

Maggi may be cooked in its classic way or can have added salt and pepper. The half cooked egg is added from above and cooked in a corner for a few minutes to prepare the course.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water for Maggi
  • 1 packet Maggi
  • 1 cup water for egg
  • 1 medium size egg
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper powder
  • Salt as per taste
  • 1 Chopped Green chilli
  • ½ teaspoon corn flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 4-5 Coriander leaves

Steps to Prepare Half-boiled Egg Maggi

  1. Take a cup of water in a pan
  2. Add Maggi masala as per your taste and keep it on medium flame
  3. In another pan add some water and egg to let that boil for four to five minutes
  4. While the egg is getting half-boiled, boil water in the previous pan, add half a spoon of red chilli powder, some salt and some chopped green chilli
  5. Take about half a spoon of corn flour and mix till the water starts boiling
  6. After two minutes of boiling add the uncooked Maggi noodles from the packet
  7. Let it cook in the boiling water
  8. When Maggi seems almost cooked, break the egg and carefully add the contents: At one corner of the Maggi pan, slowly add the white part first followed by the yolk so the yolk remains in the centre when it goes in the pan
  9. Let the egg part cook for two to three minutes and add salt, red chilli and black pepper powder over the egg. Do not mix egg with Maggi
  10. After three minutes, switch off the flame
  11. When we pass a spoon through the yellow part, the yolk liquid will start to ooze. This is when the recipe is done
  12. Garnish with a few coriander leaves
  13. Half-boiled Egg Maggi is ready to be served

Enjoy this flavoursome and heavenly combination of Maggi with the goodness of luscious egg. For children, it is a good way to offer eggs in their diet with their favourite snack, maggi.
