People from around the world celebrated Eid Al-Fitr recently (on May 3, 2022). One of the biggest festivals among Muslims, Eid-al-fitr or Meethi Eid brings an end to the holy month of Ramadan and month-long Roza (fasting). The festival falls on the first day of 'Shawwal', the 10th month of the Islamic calendar (Hijri). However, the date of Eid al-Fitr is decided on when the new moon is sighted by local religious authorities. Hence, the date of Eid varies every year, from place to place. Eid is all about celebration, where friends and families get together for a gala feast. Since food has always played a major role in all Indian festivals, Eid is no different. In fact, the very thought of Eid reminds one of sumptuous biryani, kebabs and seviyan. Isn’t it? And it is the same for some of our favourite Bollywood celebs too. Malaika Arora for instance, is known to be a hardcore foodie, who leaves no chance to indulge in scrumptious delicacies. And Eid 2022 was one occasion for her to give-in to a sumptuous feast. Malaika keeps sharing her food shenanigans on Instagram with her following of over 15 million, and her recent story on Instagram was an ode to Eid, and a paradise for food lovers.

The Bollywood celebrity, on the occasion of Meethi Eid, took to Instagram to share a story that features her extensive Eid spread. From Hyderabadi biryani, mirchi ka salan, papad, raita, and dal (perhaps dal gosht) to rice and more, Malaika’s Eid spread is what every food lover’s dreams are made of. Take a look:
