The crowd on the shops and malls is proof of that, how excited people are for Diwali. New clothes, lights, decorations, gifts and lots of food, this festival has given a lot of reason to celebrate. It is among those festivals of the country where people enjoy food and desserts without caring about the calorie intake. Another fun part about this festival is the Diwali party. It is an occasion to gather, along with family and friends to celebrate with music, dance and lots of food. But if you are out of ideas for desserts to serve your guests, on this Diwali party, don’t worry we have got your back.
Here is an easy recipe of two delicious desserts from renowned chefs of Delhi. Prepare these within minutes and surprise your guests.
1. Dry Fruit Sandesh

Ingredients:
- 1 L full cream milk
- 10 ml lemon juice
- 10 gm green cardamom
- 10 gm pista
- 20 gm almond
- 150 ml maple syrup
Method:
Take a pan boil the full cream milk. turn the heat to low setting and add lemon juice into it.
Mix well until the milk curdles. drain off the curdled milk using a piece of cotton cloth and squeeze out the excess water.
Then add maple syrup to it and mix well in a mixing bowl.
Place a kadhai over medium flame and cook the prepared mixture in it for five minutes and add cardamom powder and mix well.
Let it cool down and then cut out squares or make a shape from the dough and garnish with almond and pista. serve warm or cold.
2.. Nutella & Banana Spring Rolls With Chocolate Sauce And Vanilla Ice Cream

Servings: 4 pax
Ingredients:
- 3 bananas
- 1 pkt spring roll wrappers
- 1 jar Nutella sauce
- 50 ml chocolate sauce
- 1 L oil to fry
- 1 brick vanilla ice cream
- 1 bunch mint leaf
- 200 gm cookie crumb
- 10 gm icing sugar
- 2 edible flowers
- 1 bamboo leaf or pandan leaf or banana leaf
Method:
- Pre heat the oil in a fryer and set at temperature of 180 degree.
- Peel bananas and slice them and coat them with nutella sauce and keep aside.
- Place one piece of banana diagonally across the corners of the spring roll wrapper and roll from corner to the centre, then fold top and bottom corners and continue rolling till end.
- Seal the edges with water and keep aside.
- Make 7 to 8 springs rolls like this.
- Crush the cookies in to powder to make the base for ice cream
- Fry a few banana rolls at a time in the hot oil until nice crisp and golden browned.
- Served hot with vanilla ice cream.
- Drizzle chocolate sauce on spring rolls and on ice cream while serving and garnish with mint leaves on ice cream and drizzle some icing sugar on spring rolls.
- Garnish with edible flowers.
