Lately, Deepika Padukone has been all over the internet, as she made the nation proud at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival. The actress attended the festival as part of an eight-member jury responsible for giving away the top prizes at the prestigious event, and left us gasping with each of her appearances on the French Riviera. Now that the festival has come to an end and Deepika bids adieu to Cannes and her duties as a jury member, she shared a fun video on Instagram, expressing her emotions. The Bollywood superstar said that “it’s a wrap for her, and she also thanked Festival de Cannes for the ‘love and generosity’”.
Deepika’s fun video featured her team with the sad face filter on, which is absolutely hilarious! The actor can be heard saying "We are leaving from here and everyone is really upset." Looking at the filter, she adds further "I thought this person was having a breakdown and then I was like oh it's a filter." As the visual shows Deepika making faces with the sad filter on, a person from her team can be heard saying in the background, "That is so creepy!" But what got our attention more was what seemed like a goodbye sweet treat.
In the video, one can spot a plate full of what looked like small cakes with mascarpone cheese and whipping cream on top. Deepika captioned her post, "And that’s a wrap! Thank you @festivaldecannes for all your love and generosity! Until we meet again", along with a heart emoji. Take a look at the video here:
The video is simply hilarious, isn’t it? Deepika had a great time at Cannes, as she shared many glimpses from her time there. From some stunning red-carpet appearances to her BTS from getting ready, Deepika shared it all. Recently she also shared a short video wherein she revealed that a chocolate bar was not just the best gift of that day, week or month for her, but of the decade. Deepika’s stint at Cannes this year has received much appreciation online. The 75th edition of the film festival, which returned after a gap of two years owing to the Coronavirus pandemic, commenced on May 17. It celebrated Indian cinema among others. India was chosen as the first ‘country of honour’ at Marche du Cinema, and on the opening day, a delegation from India, led by I&B Minister Anurag Thakur, walked the red carpet. The delegation included AR Rahman, Shekhar Kapur and Pooja Hegde, among others
