Do you often get nostalgic thinking about all the mom-made food you used to enjoy during your childhood? When it comes to food, there are always certain dishes that can make most of us immensely nostalgic. If you ask me, it would be mom-made Aam Panna during the scorching summer months and Kofta Curry, a special one from my mother’s culinary treasures. For instance, Maggi noodles or grilled sandwiches, pastries or chips could also be some foods that can make us nostalgic as these were foods we all enjoyed in our childhood days. The aroma of these yummy treats can also transport us back to the happier, more innocent times of our lives. Turns out our favourite celebrities are no different either! The latest post by football legend David Beckham proves the same.

He recently enjoyed a yummy dinner with his mother, Sandra Beckham, and took to Instagram to share an adorable selfie with her while also revealing the amazing delights she cooked for him. Take a look at the post he shared:

Isn’t it super sweet? The picture has raked in over 980k likes in a short span of time, but what made us hooked was the elaborate dinner, glimpses of which we could see in the selfie. And David himself revealed that the menu included some of his childhood favourites, cooked by his mother. Now that is adorable.

In the selfie, the mother-son duo was seated at the dining table, and we could catch a glimpse of the amazing dishes that the footballer’s mother had prepared for him. Revealing all the details of the food she cooked, David wrote in the caption of the post, "Can't beat dinner with mum. Gammon, chips, pineapple, fried egg, coleslaw & mushy peas. Favorite as a kid, thanks mum". For those unversed, gammon is the hind leg of pork after it has been cured by dry-salting or brining, and is a classic British dish.

Well, the menu seems to be quite a delicious feast, featuring some classic British foods that the ace footballer also revealed were his favourites. But this wasn't all that they ate, Beckam also revealed that the sumptuous meal was "followed by a jam doughnut and a cup of tea". Further, Beckham also jokingly apologised to his sister, Joanna Beckham, for not including her as part of the meal. "Sorry Joanna, the queen was home for dinner," he wrote in the post.

Beckam is quite a foodie, who also loves to cook as he has shared his food shenanigans several times on Instagram with his following of 73.2 million. He recently celebrated Lunar New Year by cooking “Sweet and sour Mandarin Fish”, and rang in Christmas with some “coffee & wine”.  Take a look at some of his foodie adventures:

Recently, he had also revealed what his wife Victoria Beckham eats in a day. The football star said that the former 'Spice Girls' member has been eating the same meal for the past 25 years, leaving the internet shocked. Read  more about it here.
