Cucumber Juice:  An Ideal Summer Drink

The juice obtained from cucumber fruits is known as cucumber juice. The scientific name for the cucumber plant, which is a member of the Cucurbitaceae family, is Cucumis sativus. The Cucurbitaceae family also includes melons, squash, and pumpkins. India is home to the cucumber plant, which is widely farmed there. Other Indian languages names for cucumber include Kheera in Hindi, Shashhaa in Bengali, Vellarikkay in Tamil, and Trapsuha in Sanskrit. So, this chilled beverage is all you need to unwind on a hot summer day when the heat of the searing sun is at its strongest. You may quickly pour yourself a glass full of chilled healthy drinks rather than spending a lot of time in the kitchen or downing slush with artificial sweeteners and colours. There are so many rich sources in cucumber juice but, water and other nutrients can be found in the abundance of cucumber juice. Ingredients:

  • 2 -Cucumbers ( 300 gms approx)
  • 1- Lemon
  • 1/3- Cup Honey (90 gms)
  • 1/4 -Tsp flaky sea salt
  • 1/2- Cup chilled water
  • 2 -Cups ice cubes
  • Few- Mint leaves

Method of Preparation:

  1. Start with peeling, take cucumbers and peel off them by (vegetable peeler)
  2. Now, cut cucumbers in circle shapes, and set them aside
  3. Take a mixer jar, add cucumber slices into a jar, add honey, flaky sea salt and 1-2 cup water and ice cubes. Grind well for 3-5 minutes approximately 
  4. After grinding well, pour cucumber juice into the glass and, add a few mint leaves for a refreshing taste

Drinking cucumber juice is very healthy and convenient, and an ideal drink in summer. A notable source of potassium, silica, vitamin A, vitamin C, folate, and chlorophyll, among other nutrients can be found in cucumber juice. Cucumbers have high water content. Cucumber juice is frequently incorporated into diets to enhance the appearance of skin, nails, and hair. Regular use of the beverage can also assist in the treatment of kidney stones and high blood pressure. You can make cucumber juice exclusively from cucumbers, or you can add sugars and other fruits to it to give it more flavour.
