Shake Up These 5 Vibrant Berry Cocktails For A Boozy Evening

Cocktails give you an opportunity to combine your favourite ingredients together in one glass. Whether stirred or shaken, the exotic taste and flavour of these mixed drinks can amp up any celebration. Besides spirits, liqueurs, herbs and spices, fruits are another important ingredient of cocktails. Speaking particularly about berries, they are used for a variety of drinks. These concoctions are not only flavourful but also easy to prepare. 

Here are five exotic berry cocktails you can make at home: 

Berry Bomb  

Ingredients 

  • 1 part vodka 
  • 1 part peach schnapps 
  • Orange juice 
  • dash of lime cordial 
  • 10 blueberries 
  • 10 raspberries 
  • 4 strawberries

Method 

  • Put all the ingredients into a blender. 
  • Blend until smooth. 
  • Pour into a cocktail glass and enjoy. 

Strawberry Fizz 

Ingredients 

  • 150 g small fresh strawberries 
  • grenadine syrup 
  • sparkling wine 

Method 

  • Wash and dry the strawberries; halve a few of them. Place them on a small plate and freeze for a while. 
  • Pour 1 tsp of the grenadine syrup into champagne glasses. 
  • Add a few frozen halves and whole strawberries in the glasses and top with the sparkling wine. Serve. 

Blueberry Mojito 


Ingredients 

  • 6-8 sprigs fresh mint
  • 2 teaspoons cane sugar 
  • 1/2 lime; juiced 
  • 1/3 cup fresh blueberries 
  • 2 oz. white rum 
  • soda water or club soda to finish 
  • ice

Method 

  • Place mint leaves, lime juice, and sugar in a cocktail glass. Muddle gently for a few seconds. Add the blueberries to the glass. 
  • Using a cocktail muddler, crush the blueberries and mint together. Add the rum and lime juice and stir well. 
  • Fill the glass with ice cubes and top it off with a splash of club soda. Garnish with a fresh sprig of mint and blueberries. Serve immediately. 

Raspberry Whisky Sour 

Ingredients 

  • 1 ½ oz. whiskey 
  • 1 oz. lime juice 
  • 1 oz. raspberry simple syrup  
  • 3 jalapeño slices, plus more for garnish 
  • 1 egg white 
  • Fresh raspberries, for garnish

Method 

  • In a cocktail shaker filled with ice. 
  • Add whiskey, lime juice, raspberry syrup, jalapeño, and egg white.  
  • Shake well and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Enjoy. 

Berry Sangria 

Ingredients 

  • 750 ml chilled red wine 
  • 1 apple, cubed 
  • 1 cup sliced strawberries 
  • 1 cup raspberries 
  • 1 cup pitted and sliced cherries 
  • 1 cup blueberries 
  • 1 cup blackberries 
  • ¾ cup brandy 
  • 2 cups lemon-lime soda

Method 

  • Mix wine, apple, strawberries, raspberries, cherries, blueberries, blackberries, and brandy together in a pitcher. 
  • Refrigerate for at least an hour.  
  • Stir lemon-lime soda into wine mixture. Pour into a cocktail glass and enjoy.
