In cities like Mumbai, where celebrity dancers, singers, actors, filmmakers and chefs all come together to create a vibrant atmosphere, star-studded parties are nothing new. And yet, a recent dinner party hosted by Chef Sanjeev Kapoor, his wife Alyona Kapoor and the Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana team brought together a specially curated Indian menu with incredible guests like Chef Kunal Kapur, Chef Pooja Dhingra, singer Shaan, choreographer Terence Lewis and Sheetal Talwar.
A recent reel posted by Chef Sanjeev Kapoor on Instagram revealed just what a culinary success the party was and how impressed the star guests were. The video first shows the star guests walking in, beginning with Chef Kunal Kapur, Chef Pooja Dhingra, Terence Lewis, Shaan, who are then seated at a perfectly set table with placeholders. The video then shows the Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana team working hard at cooking and plating up each dish.

To begin with, we can catch quick glimpses of amuse bouche like a pakoda served with dahi on a banana leaf, a watermelon salad-inspired dish, followed by perfectly plated starters. Among these were Indian favourites that celebrated not only the culinary heritage of the country but included dishes from across the nation, including Idiyappam, tender coconuts, Rabri Jalebi, Dal Makhani (served in tiny pressure cooker plates that too!), rice and millet dishes and very intricate and interesting desserts.
Not only was the hard work and talent of the Sanjeev Kapoor Khazana team on full display at this dinner, but it also looks like the guests thoroughly enjoyed each course. In one snippet, we can see Terence Lewis feeding Shaan one of the cold desserts as Chef Kunal Kapur watches on. The reel posted by Chef Sanjeev Kapoor truly gives a sneak peak into this star-studded dinner that everyone, ranging from the chefs to the guests all enjoyed.
Speaking about the specially curated menu by his creative team, Chef Sanjeev Kapoor wrote: “Thank you team @chefsofsk for carefully curating a tasting menu of exquisite dishes for us to experience vibrant flavours of India. The menu indeed showcased the rich diversity and intricate aromas of our culinary heritage.” “Thanks to the amazing couple alyona mam & chef. It was such a brilliant evening with great food and fun conversations,” Chef Kunal Kapur responded to the post. Other guests from this star-studded night also wrote back in the comments thanking the team for the meal, while many from around the world showed their appreciation for the icon that is Chef Sanjeev Kapoor.
