One must pay care to their health in this fast-paced world. Our lifestyles, and hence our well-being, are significantly impacted by the varying pace. One must follow a natural path if one wants to be in perfect health.
The goodness of nature is everywhere. One of nature's greatest gifts to humanity is spirulina. It is a blue-green algae that has existed for a very long time. This nutrient supplement is bursting with nutrients, including protein, iron, copper, and vitamins B1, B2, and B3. Magnesium, potassium, and manganese are also present, but at minor levels. Spirulina has outstanding anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects in addition to its nutritious content. It contributes to reducing harmful cholesterol and boosting immunity.
Spirulina possesses anti-cancer and anti-hypertension effects. They aid in boosting haemoglobin levels and enhancing endurance. There are various dos and don'ts while using this beneficial cyanobacterium. Since most people do not enjoy the flavour of the algae, it is advisable to add some sauce or make roti or chapatti dough. Additionally, they may be included in soups along with other components. Cooking on a high flame is a big no-no since heat destroys many essential nutrients. The optimal time to add Spirulina powder is when the dish is cold or at room temperature. Spirulina can also be used in foods that can be served frozen, which is a great way to do so.
Here's how you can make spirulina lassi
Ingredients
1. Curd: 1 cup
2. Ice cubes: 2-3
3. Sugar: ¼ cup
4. Cardamom powder: ¼ tsp
5. Spirulina powder: 2 tbsps.
6. Almonds: 10-12
Method
Take full-fat milk curd. A rich and creamy curd produces a delectable lassi. Blend the curd in a container. It works nicely to use a wooden hand-held whisk or beater. Add sugar and ice cubes. Till the sugar is dissolved and the ice cube melts, whisk the milky bliss. This process will take a few minutes. Spirulina and cardamom powder should be added, and the lassi should be thoroughly whisked until foamy. The lip-smacking lassi should be poured into a large glass. Rustically slice the almonds into tiny pieces. Alternately, add some style by slicing them thin. Add almonds to the lassi's top.
