The grubs from Japan are all over the place. And one can't deny its surging popularity. The recent testament is a video story by the Indian actor and host Archana Puran Singh, which she posted on her Instagram handle. It proves Archana's love for Japanese food and culinary prowess
Japanese cuisine is sweeping the globe with its wealth of wholesome culinary fares centred on seafood, rice, and fresh vegetables. The craze is equally at its peak in India. While one can observe its growing popularity by just spotting the launch of several eateries and fine dining facilities serving authentic Japanese cuisine, Indian celebrities vouch for how obsessed they are with the food of Japan. A glaring example is a recent post by Indian actor and host Archana Puran Singh. A few hours back, she took to her Instagram handle and posted a story expressing her craze for Japanese food.
In her said Insta-story, Archana posted video footage of a drool-worthy spread of Japanese food. She captioned it, Japanese Bowl, Home Made' with a slurping emoji. We know this grub is pure love, and we are salivating too. One can spot a healthy bowl containing some pickles, salad, sliced fresh avocados, and tofu sticks, perhaps cooked in Hiyaykko, Japanese-style preparation.

There are also sizeable servings of crispy fried munchies. What amazes us is Archana's mention of 'Home Made'. Putting together the bowl looks like quite a task. But she aced it with flawless presentation. And we aren't wrong to guess that she has some guests to impress.
She isn't alone in the list of Indian celebs smitten by Japanese culinary fares. We have leading actors, including Sara Ali Khan, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, Ram Charan and Upasana Kamineni, who are often seen relishing delicacies from Japan. Many of the stars even own Japanese restaurants.

For those unversed, Japanese cuisine has a particular name for its food bowl dishes, especially the ones containing rice. It's called Donburi. Served over rice, donburi is a Japanese "rice-bowl dish" made of simmering fish, pork, veggies, or other ingredients. Food served in these giant rice bowls, share the same name, i.e., Donburi. It's an easy-to-make, satisfying preparation that includes a bowl of steamed rice, meat, veggies, sauce, and a serving of pickles and miso soup.
We are excited to know if Archana minds sharing the recipe too! What say?
