Smoothies and their flavours have always appealed to us, but did you know that the smoothies you consume have a long and illustrious history?

According to historical records, smoothies first originated in the 1930s, when health food stores began offering pureed fruit as a summer drink. One of the first fruits to be put into a smoothie were pineapple and bananas. It was so popular at the time that people began experimenting with a variety of other fruits as well. Smoothies gradually gained popularity in the 1960s as new flavours entered the market, and by the 1990s, they had become such a big favourite with the public that even coffee shops, restaurants, and cafes were selling them to clients.

As per another sources, in the 1970s, a teenager named Steven Kuhnao wanted to drink milkshakes like his classmates, but he couldn't since he was lactose intolerant, so one day he decided to experiment and combined frozen fruits, juice, and ice cubes and dubbed it a smoothie. This procedure became widely known, and lactose intolerant people began to rejoice; as a result, the great evolution of smoothies began, which were popular at the time and are still popular today.

Originally, smoothies were made by blending frozen fruit with ice cubes, but lately, people are experimenting with thickening them using yoghurt and milk. Chocolates are also used to make smoothies known as chocolate smoothies.

Green veggies are also being used to make green smoothies, which is becoming increasingly popular among a wide range of people. You can also add cream or ice creams to your smoothie and garnish it with dried fruits or nuts such as walnuts or almonds, depending on your preferences. A smoothie has a milkshake consistency.

From the youngest to the elderly, no one is immune to the allure of a smoothie, especially in this hot weather, no one can resist a glass of smoothie. Smoothies can be filling, which is why some people use them as a breakfast substitute.

So, what do you have to lose? Replace your morning tea and coffee with a smoothie and notice how your entire day will alter. You'd feel re-energized and revitalized. Smoothies are so adaptable that you can experiment with a variety of other components.
