Picnics were an important family tradition back in the day. Families used to take a lot of food and would go to parks or different green locations to spend the day playing games, relaxing, and eating a lot of food. Indeed, picnics these days are not as common as they used to be back in the day. However, picnics can never be old-fashioned or outdated because there is nothing like spending a day outdoors while playing games and doing a lot of fun activities.

For all the people who are planning a picnic outing, here are some delicious and healthy summer picnic sandwiches that one can pack for their picnic meals.

Now put another piece of bread on the top to lock the sandwich.

Bagel sandwiches are for people who are bored of eating flatbread sandwiches and want to have something different and delicious. This sandwich is incredibly delicious as it is made from butter. The toasted bagel is cut in half. On the top of each bagel, one has to put a mixture made of mashed potatoes, chopped onion, bell peppers, salt, black pepper, and some tomatoes. One can also add a little bit of cheese and put it in the microwave until the cheese melts on mashed potatoes. One sandwich is going to give enough energy to a person to play games all day long.

* Traditional Club Sandwich

A traditional club sandwich is made from dried cranberries, walnuts, celery, and some shredded chicken. A mixture of these ingredients is put inside a sandwich that has creamy and sweet notes. Traditionally, cinnamon raisin bread is used to make a traditional club sandwich as it helps complement the flavours of dried cranberries well. If one is planning to have the sandwich later in the day then a tip to follow is to store the bread and the stuffing separately and then later assort the sandwich just before one is about to eat it. This will help in preventing the sandwich from becoming soggy.

One has to simply take a bell pepper and cut it in half. Now inside the bell paper one has to stuff some celery leaves, shredded chicken, cherry tomatoes, chopped onion, and some cheese. On the top one has to sprinkle some salt and pepper for the final touch. These bell peppers must be roasted in the microwave for a couple of minutes for the cheese to melt.

* Raw Lettuce Sandwich

Raw lettuce sandwich is another bread-free sandwich recipe that is perfect for vegans as it is entirely made from plant-based products.
