One of the fruits that are most commonly consumed worldwide may very well be apples. Although you and I may take this unassuming fruit for granted, it actually offers a number of health benefits and when cooked and added to dishes, it works like magic.
Here are 5 interesting ways to eat apples-
Apples and peanut butter
The Traditional—Peanut Butter. Peanut butter goes well with anything, even fruit, for some reason. A granny smith apple with some crunchy peanut butter is my particular favourite. It's a good idea to occasionally switch things up and use almond butter in its place. If you're feeling very daring, mix some honey and cinnamon into the peanut butter. It’s delicious!
Baked, soft, and delicious. Although an oven is an option, I chose to use a microwave to save time. Remove the core, then place the apple on a plate and heat it through until it is tender (about 3-5 minutes). To change it up, I like to add cinnamon, raisins, or syrup.
Oatmeals and apples
The best breakfast is oatmeal and apples. Definitely one of my favourite breakfast dishes is this concoction. It's a terrific way to express creativity because there are so many distinct varieties. About 1/4 to 1/2 of an apple needs to be chopped up into little pieces. Microwave the oats, whether quick or regular, for around 30 seconds. After another minute of cooking, add the apples and possibly some additional water to the oats. You are free to contribute anything to this.
Greek yoghurt and apples are creamy and crunchy. I normally choose a fruit and yoghurt combination for a filling mid-afternoon snack; the fruit is obviously apples! Slice up your preferred fruit—I like fuji or granny smith—and add approximately a half cup of plain Greek yoghurt to a bowl.
Apple smoothie is a perfect beverage to consume when on a weight loss diet. This smoothie is filling and loaded with vitamins and iron. All you need to add are apples, almond milk, nuts and the essence of your choice. It is a good option to consume when you're on a weight loss schedule and watching calories.
