Indian farmers provide the organically cultivated cocoa beans used to make the chocolate bars. All products are free of preservatives and emulsifiers. Soklet

The first and only producer of tree-to-bar chocolate in India, Soklet, is changing the entire way of consuming chocolate. Over a few cocktails in 2015, brothers-in-law Karthikeyan Palaniswamy and Harish Manoj Kumar decided to become the first tree-to-bar chocolate makers in India. It is a purely family-run business with tasks assigned to each member. Karthikeyan is in charge of sales and marketing; Harish is in charge of the farm; Rathi, Harish's wife, is in charge of the chocolate manufacturing; and Sajini, Karthikeyan's wife and Harish's sister, is in charge of the lovely branding, packaging, and social media. They appreciate experimenting with exquisite, local flavours (such as their Dark Milk with Indian ghee), only use locally obtained or made-in-house machinery (apart from the tempering machine), and only make with their own beans. Everything they do is evidence of their pride and affection for their surroundings, from their name, which is a play on the pronunciation of "chocolate" in the local Tamil language, to their exquisite packaging, which was inspired by local silk sarees from Tamil Nadu.

Didier & Frank

In their line of ordinary milk and dark chocolates, Didier & Frank uses natural ingredients to create Aztec-inspired chocolates with incredible flavour combinations. The Pune-based business uses nuts, coffee, herbs, spices, and more to create a wide variety of tastes, from mild to dark. According to legend, two American explorers, Didier and Frank, set out in the early 19th century to find the best chocolate in the world. They travelled from the vineyards of Western Europe to the high plains of Central America, where they found that the Aztec elite secretly enjoyed a unique chocolate recipe that was thought to be a gift from Quetzalcoatl, the God of Wisdom. This ancient secret is now the inspiration for the chocolates. Their exquisite luxury chocolate bars shine, snap and simply melt away on the palate. Plus, you can choose to be a purist or go flavourtown crazy.  You will love the 75% intense dark that also happens to be vegan. It has an exotic, intense bitterness. You can also go darker with the wicked 85% or sweeter with a 50%. Too straightforward for your liking? Check out the textured and flavoured darks. Also, it is highly recommended that you try the Spicy Cinnamon Chilli and Dark Teddy Roosevelt Coffee. For milk chocolate lovers, the Milk Spanish Orange Bar is the best match made in heaven and also because actual Spanish orange juice goes into the making of this one.
