3 Easy Egg Recipes For Kid’s Tiffin

Deciding what to give children in their tiffin can be quite a difficult task. Not only the food should be healthy but delicious. You know what? There is one ingredient that could be easily found in every kitchen and could be a perfect option when it comes to your children’s tiffin. We are talking about ‘The Eggs’.  

Eggs are hands down the most versatile thing ever. It not only makes some unique continental dishes but also spreads its charm in Indian dishes. From breakfast to main course dishes, eggs can be your go-to ingredient. And the most amazing thing is that you can make some amazing dishes for your kid’s tiffin. Have a look at some recipes. 

Chipotle Egg Sandwich 

Ingredients 

  • 2 boiled eggs 
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion 
  • 1/3 cup chopped cucumber 
  • 1 tsp chili flakes 
  • 1 tsp mixed herbs 
  • 2 tbsp mayo 
  • 4 tbsp chipotle 
  • Butter  
  • Bread 

Method 

  • Take a bowl and add all the ingredients together. 
  • Then, cut the edges of the bread slices and apply butter over them. 
  • Spread the egg filling over a bread slice and slap another bread slice over it. 
  • Serve. 

Egg Paratha 

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour 
  • 2 eggs 
  • 1 tbsp oil 
  • Salt 
  • ¼ cup onions (chopped) 
  • 1 green chili (chopped) 
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves (chopped) 
  • ½ tsp garam masala  

Method 

  • Knead the dough using flour, salt, oil, and water. 
  • Roll the dough into a triangle-shaped paratha. 
  • Meanwhile, take a bowl and add eggs. 
  • Add chopped onions, coriander leaves, garam masala, and salt. Mix well. 
  • Put the rolled parathas on hot tawa and let them cook a little from both sides. 
  • When the edges get crisp, slit the parathas and pour in the prepared egg mixture.  
  • Tilt the paratha a little so that the egg mix slides in.  
  • Then, flip it over and repeat the process on the other side. 
  • Add some more oil and let it cook. 
  • Serve 

Egg Bhurji Sandwich 

Ingredients 

  • 2 eggs 
  • 1 tomato 
  • 1 green chili 
  • 1 onion 
  • ½ tsp cumin seeds 
  • ¼ tsp hing 
  • ½ tsp red chili powder 
  • ½ tsp coriander powder 
  • ½ tsp garam masala powder 
  • ½ tsp oil 
  • Salt 
  • 1 tbsp butter 
  • Bread 

Method 

  • Take a bowl and add eggs. Add salt and whisk. 
  • Heat a pan and add oil. Add hing, and cumin seeds and let them splutter. 
  • Add onion and green chili. Mix well. 
  • Add all the spices and sauté well. 
  • Add the whisked eggs and make Bhurji using a spatula. 
  • Take bread slices and apply butter. 
  • Add egg Bhurji and grill the slices. 
  • Serve!
