Ingredients For Thrissur Style Kinnathappam Recipe
1 cup Raw rice/White Rice
1.5 cup Thick coconut milk
1 pinch Salt
7 tablespoon Sugar
0.25 teaspoon Cumin
Coconut Oil for greasing
Directions : Thrissur Style Kinnathappam Recipe
Preparation Directions
STEP 1.Take some water in a bowl and add 1 cup raw rice. Soak it for 3hrs. Drain off the excess water.
Cooking Directions
STEP 1.Take a jar and add rice, 3tbsp sugar, a pinch of salt and 1/4tsp cumin. Gradually add some coconut milk and grind it to prepare the batter.
STEP 2.Add the remaining coconut milk in the batter. Mix well. Add sugar if required.
STEP 3.Let it rest for 3-4hrs.
STEP 4.Grease a plate with oil. Pour 3ladle batter on the plate. Cover it with foil paper and make tiny holes on it.
STEP 5.Boil some water in a steamer and place the plate in the steamer.
STEP 6.Let it cook in steam for 10-12 mins.
STEP 7.Thrissur style kinnathappam is ready to be served.
