How to Make Thrissur Style Kinnathappam Recipe
Preparation Directions
STEP 01
Take some water in a bowl and add 1 cup raw rice. Soak it for 3hrs. Drain off the excess water.
Cooking Directions
STEP 01
Take a jar and add rice, 3tbsp sugar, a pinch of salt and 1/4tsp cumin. Gradually add some coconut milk and grind it to prepare the batter.
STEP 02
Add the remaining coconut milk in the batter. Mix well. Add sugar if required.
STEP 03
Let it rest for 3-4hrs.
STEP 04
Grease a plate with oil. Pour 3ladle batter on the plate. Cover it with foil paper and make tiny holes on it.
STEP 05
Boil some water in a steamer and place the plate in the steamer.
STEP 06
Let it cook in steam for 10-12 mins.
STEP 07
Thrissur style kinnathappam is ready to be served.
