The self-confessed foodie who is also pretty well-known for maintaining a diet regime, Rakul Preet Singh is a fit foodie of sorts. In a lot of interviews, she has expressed how she enjoys eating homemade food and likes to keep a check on her food habits. However, everyone’s allowed a cheat day and a day off the stringent diet, right? The Runway 34 actress, on a roll with her movie promotions, indulged in Delhi’s lip-smacking street food when in the capital. In fact, just a while ago, she was ready for a sea(see)food diet. That’s enough proof to show us what a big time foodie she is.

If you were to keep a tab on her Instagram stories, you’d know that this model turned actor never misses a day without showing her followers glimpses of what she’s eating. Her food obsession is so really that she ended up having a lovely lunch with her team recently at Raffles Dubai. She posted a video on her stories where all her team, of about six to eight members, were having lunch and she happily shared while looking into the camera that, “We’re on a team lunch”. She went on to ask the members how were they feeling and most of them just smiled away. One of them said that they’re really enjoying themselves.

Rakul Preet’s sweet gesture not only wooed her members but won our hearts too. As for the lunch menu, we could spot everyone eating noodles along with a plate of full of grilled chicken in the centre. There are several condiments spread on all corners of the table and most had forks in their hands. Wondering what we’re talking about? Here’s a sneak peek.

With some much talk about Chinese food, here are some Indo-Chinese recipes that you should try at home.

1.  Chicken Manchurian

Crispy, fried balls of heaven that are irresistible, chicken manchurian is a classic Chinese dish that is most commonly served with fried rice or noodles in India. The hot and fiery combination of soy and chilli sauce is poured over the meaty balls and garnished with sesame seeds and spring onions. It could be dry, to be served as an appetizer, or a gravy-like dish too.

2.  Honey Chilli Potato

A fabulous snack that is crispy, crunchy and saucy, you’d not be able to stop at one. The finely sliced potatoes are coated in cornflour and deep-fried. The thick, sweet and spicy sauce is prepared using chilli sauce, tomato ketchup and a drizzle of honey. Top it with some sesame seeds and spring onions and your evening snack is ready.

3.  Manchow Soup

While many may confuse the manchow soup to be Chinese because of the region in China that goes by the same name, it is not the case. A thick and fiery preparation, manchow soup has the freshness of coriander and mint as well as strong aroma of garlic which makes it unique. You can add finely chopped vegetables or shredded chicken to enjoy it.
