College life is incomplete without food. Every moment spent on campus has food as an integral part - be it hanging out with friends and eating samosas or bunking classes to eat momos in the canteen. Delhi University is one such university which is house to many young foodies. While Delhi University’s longstanding debate over which campus is better - North Campus or South Campus - will forever remain on going, we have some restaurant suggestions for all south campus students to try out once, in their student life: 

1) Diggin café

From creamy pastas to the cheesiest of pizzas, Diggin is a great place to hang out with your squad, after a long day of lectures. Located opposite Gargi college, this cafe is aesthetic and has many selfie worthy walls. Diggin’s bruschetta and pizzas are worth a try along with their Belgian Chocolate Shake.

2) QD’s restaurant

The most happening place where your seniors can be found hanging at, even after their college days are over, is QD’s. Famous for its tandoori momos and dahi chicken roll, this cafe is located near Sri Venkateswara College. Apart from having a scrumptious menu, the restaurant’s dishes are mediumly priced and would be a great choice if you were on a student’s budget.

3) Chowringhee

So many college memories are associated with sharing a bite of a delicious roll with your college crush and fighting to not share the same roll with your friends. All of this and more happens every day at Chowringhee. Every south campus student has a favourite roll preference, as all of them have spent time at this joint. The delicious thick paratha envelops chunky and juicy chicken or paneer bits with onions and other vegetables wrapped in a delectable sauce within the Kathi roll.

4) Big Yellow Door 

Every south campus kid knows that when they need to go on a date, or give a birthday treat to their whole squad, they should head to the BYD or the Big Yellow Door. You will find this outlet mostly crowded because of the delicious food that they serve, which lies easy on a student’s pocket. Their Baked Mix Sauce Pasta, Butter Chicken Pizza and Cheesy Nachos Mexicana are an absolute must-try.

5) Kev’s Cafe 

If yummy shakes on a budget is what you’re hunting for, then you better head to Kev’s cafe. Apart from refreshing drinks, this cafe is known for its quick bites. Whether it is the veg maggi pizza tots or the loaded cheesy fries, you can satiate all your junk cravings at Kev’s. The dishes are quick to arrive and if you’re pressed for time and in need of a quick lunch, then this is where you head. This outlet is one that’s open till late night and is a buzzing point for youngsters, who often meet their friends to hang out here.
